Xabbad

Is there other ways to know wat words are loaned from Arabic?
Many words ending in ad/at are Arabic loan words though you can never be 100% especially as we are not linguistic experts.

Words like maal are a good example of Arabic cognates from afroasiatic past, and then it is also used as a kind of loan in a religious sense sometimes.

HA Activist.
Xabad comes directly from arabic yeah.
It literally means "(a) grain". It can also be "a unit", but it evolved into meaning “one” as well for us.
Same happened within maghrebi arabic where the root Z-W-J meaning "couple" ended up being used as "two" instead of the actual arabic ithnaan
