Somaliland is only Isaaq land if it doesn't include the land that other clans inhabit. Until then it is Somaliland. On June 26th 1960, the British signed the document of Somaliland independence with Isaaq, Gadabursi and Dhulbahante representatives. When the British created the British Protectorate, they signed agreements with all the clans who inhabit the former British Protectorate.
