Lol I realize people will judge and roast me but I couldn't give less of a shit. My friends probably gonna roast me, then come to my bbq later in the summer eating the food I worked hard all summer to garden. It's cool, I always roast them too..I never take it to heart. I grew up with my friends and family always in perpetual roast sessions.

Anyways only reason I wanna garden is because I always end up helping my farmer neighbor harvest his crops every summer....and holy shit actual grown fruits and veggies without the added chemicals and persebatives tastes way better than grocery store crap. Also I'm minoring in Earth Sciences so I know more than I should about farming,irrigation, soil types. Etc.. so I figured time to put it to use.

Lastly since I'm a developer/software engineer I love creating things. I like being involved in the process or making things from scratch to the finished product. I already cook most or my own food, so I thought hey why not even go all the way back to the beginning and be involved during the whole process. I wish I had my own livestock too lol

@syntax I was partly joking, I was actually serious about the tea party. Next year I want to throw tea parties like the old days in Britain. It's nice growing and knowing where your fruits and vegetables actually come from. It takes heaps of patience to garden and sadly I don't have patience for it. Good luck with it though.

Lol oh ok. Yeah its nice knowing your fruits actually came from the ground and straight to your kitchen. Only shitty thing is fresh stuff doesn't last long. I'm only picking up this hobby cuz when I retire I plan on living in badiye with my farm and animals or somewhere deep in the woods here. Slowly I'm learning all the skills needed. I'm already a good handyman /carpenter I jus need to learn the other shit.

Tea party eh...what do you even do at a tea party besides drink tea and talk. Don't Somalis have a tea party all the time when have guests over anyway...how will yours be different
