You guys are so dramatic lmao. Somalis back home appreciate the remittances we send, they aren't going to start massacres and be envious of diaspora Somalis moving back home. Its only the dangerous areas deep south where that might be a problem due to general lawlessness but anywhere else is fine.

Westernized Somalis will quickly acclimate. Its not as much of a culture shock as you think since diaspora Somalis are generally still conservative. You aren't seeing any Faraxs or Xalimos in pride parades for example.

there was someone on X who presented a very interesting scenario if all reer hooyo mataalo were to move back home. We are obviously very different culturally from ppl back home hence why we don’t intermarry or interact with fobs much in the west. If we were to move back we would not integrate well in fact we’d end up creating enclaves exclusively for us. In a short time our enclaves would be safer and more successful than any other part of the country. At some point we would undergo ethnogenesis and become a distinct group.

We would become an endogamous minority that is wealthy and refuses to let others settle in their enclaves, this would eventually inspire the envious fobs to carry out violence against us (they’d be riled up by their own ’elites’) what do you think ?
