WTF.
Why isn't this being dealt with be Konfurians?
Look at the comments as well. Typical sociopathic cadaans.
Are they talking about Somalia or Yemen ?
There's been famines going on consistently since 2011, it hasn't really stopped.Damn, those comments. Liberal reddit with zero sympathy for the poor starving Somalis. I'm shocked.
Are these figures real? 400k sounds even worse than the last famine in 2011, and that itself was a disaster. Why haven't i heard about this?

Lower and Middle Shabelle are farming regions, not nomadic. They died because they are Al Shabab regions.Let's get real.
If those mother's had only 1 or 2 kids then they would have more adaptability in finding new lifestyles and incomes.
However by giving birth at a young age and having 5+ kids; how are they going to get away from pastoralism when it's all that they know?
They can't expect their relatives to take care of their 5+ kids in order to take a chance finding new income sources since those relatives probably are in a similar situation.
They won't have the chance to learn something new either with half a dozen kids to feed.
Not saying we should have less kids as it's up to destiny that we can't control...
However we should think of ways to mitigate the predicament these poor mothers are in through rural initiatives to help groups optimize their access and use of resources, time and opportunities with the minimum of external funding.
Nomads as their names suggest; have to keep moving all the time to feed their livestock so traditional community support systems won't work as well with them.
However if we don't find a solution soon; don't expect the intermittent food aid to change their lives for the better in the long-term.
Let's get real.

Again your using out of touch eurocentric types of arguments, our population is relatively small compared to most other nations, 90% of the problems are caused by these very western institutions you tout mostly through NGO's and their support for terrorists.
Why do you think every first world country strictly protects it's local produce and agricultural sectors which are heavily subsidised by their governments? look at the recent deal between EU and Japan, the longest and most toughest part is discussions around food, each wanting to protect it's own.
It doesn't matter how much funding you collect from Somali's or even all Ethiopian's put together for a business model that rivals Amazon or google, you will simply fail every time as they can lock you out easily.
That's the war that is taking place not just in Somalia but all third world countries, the destruction of their agriculture through NGO's, even the farmers back home are catching in on this, this poor lady in the video below will soon find herself out of bussiness as a result of these practices while you continue to talk population reduction which the propaganda which the elitist satanists churn out for the masses, I thought you were better then this.
