Yeah it’s Somalia their after Djibouti has foreign bases, Israel has a base in Eritrea, Afwerki also has Iran, Russia and China on his side but Saudi Arabia can’t take Yemen when they can’t even defeat sandal wearing Shia militias with Ak47.

It could be over for Somalia and Yemen for the time being, unless we get out act together. Unfortunately, I don’t see much changing soon.
Yemen is already divided between Houthis (Iran), ‘official gov’t’ (KSA) and southern separatist (UAE).
Luckily, foreign forces are only limited in some parts of Somalia, and thus easier for us to get rid of them. Even if we do, we are very weak in terms of our defense capabilities. Djibouti are also somewhat dependent of the foreign forces present in their country, offering some safety for now. But we’re part of the same coin, but on different sides. DDS has been long gone. Nothing to show for except being an extended arm of Addis.
Only Eritrea can fight by themselves. Recently, they’ve been forging closer ties with China and Russia. They were already cool with Arab nations. Even without them, they are the only country in HoA that can fight Ethiopia. The very reason why they are heavily militarized, have forced conscription for most of the population etc.
Saudis are pulling out of Yemen Houthi’s will most likely take over Yemen. Eritrea is different they have a huge army plus the tuff terrain of their country helps, Afwerki is arming and training fano but did you know in 1998 the CIA saved ENDF from collapsing in the border war.
Foreign forces leaving Somalia Not happening soon ATMIS is staying for an extra 8 months to me it looks the west wants AS to takeover Somalia.

They have the military capability to do serious harm to Ethiopia which Abiy is not ready for. Somalia on the hand is completely disconnected. The little military we had was purposely destroyed by Shabaab. Somaliland was put into an unnecessary war to deplete the little force they had to defend it self. The little donations FGS got to defend itself got distributed to clan militia. There is nothing FGS can do today if Ethiopia steam rolls into Somaliland. Mogadishu is too far south and has no connection whatsoever with Hargeisa. It’s practically over. Yemen on the other hand has mountains to defend it self as well as large population concentrated in a smaller area.

Nothing major will change if KSA pulls of their support. Right now, ‘the gov’t’ is based in the south/east which is the stronghold of the separatists. UAE will probably just change their uniforms and then push for federalism/confederalism to end the war. Which will retain their influence.
@Abba Sadacha linked a video in this thread that showed that ENDF occupied a significant part of Eritrea.

Gulf of Aden is part of the Red Sea. This is why Somalia is part of the Red Sea council.
i believe gulf of aden is separated by red sea at gate of tears aka bab el mand straight which is rough narrow area below. somalia we dont have any exlusive econmic zone in red sea. does red sea council say different?

Both bodies of water have different names but the gulf is as strategic as the Red Sea. This is why Somalia is always included in the security drills.
