Genuine question. Was happy when this project came to be, like HSM said it’ll change Somalia’s global image.
However, does the Somali government plan on building veteran homes, disability homes, institutions for the deaf & blind, homeless shelters, a welfare system, and factories for export.?
All we’ve seen are private investors more interested in making money. There hasn’t been a single factory built by FGS this term. Even the vow to remove plastic bags is a sham since the person doing it (same person that stole 40mil from Hobyo development a long time ago) plans to ban plastic bags just to monopolize reusable bags for themselves. This just shows the low iq of these individuals, Somalis need less expenses not more. These people are useless if they can’t deliver for themselves or Somalis, factories would benefit them.

Manufacturing companies would never break even
Manufacturing in xamar is completely impossible right now
Ethiopia has the dam to generate a lot of it’s hydro electricity. We have a much smaller population so projects to create electricity are much more manageable. Somalia has 12 hours of sunlight (solar power) and the highest wind speeds (wind power). It all just seems like excuses excuses for lazy people.
take one look at the country and you should see why i dont see building luxury apartments as a practical or helpful thing right now
