They speak Oromo to communicate with their neighbours but speak fluent Somali, thankfully there was enough of a community to survive assimilation, funny enough my grandmother's mother hated Oromos, and my grandmother was heavily influenced to the point she married my maternal grandfather who was a sheikh who was Habar Yusif at 17 her father gave him land since he was Gadabuursi.
Cirro is an Ituu city. There are Nooles and other AQ who immigrated and own land throughout carcar(western hararghe) but the population is mainly ituu. Jarsoo are mainly the furthest east in Oromia bordering Somalis.
I was talking about events prior to the Oromo expansion from southern Ethiopia in the 16th century. The area was settled by Afar, Somalis, and various other Muslim peoples. The area was called Doba and was linked to the Ifat Sultanate going as far back as the 13th century. There are multiple mosques that have similar styles to those found in Zeila, Dirdhiba, Awbere, and so on.
There was a couple of these white shrines in the Ogaden region. At one gravesite, I've seen some smaller raised graves painted white that looked kind of looked like coffins, there was also a larger one which you could walk into (a mausoleum). I don't know the exact dates but they looked like they are less than 200 years old.
Also, since sufi tariqas have lost popularity among my extended family and Somalis as a whole, I think some of theses shrines of the 'Imam' or 'Murshid' haven't been looked after much.

I find the broadly NE African interesting, I have seen it in Somali-Oromo mixed in which they cannot tell it apart. But the large Ethiopian percentage proves that Jaarso are Oromo or at least mixed with it.
Which AQ clan is the majority in Midhaga and Meyumuluke? For Midhaga specifically, it seems to have a lot of Hawiye kebeles in it, although I have heard those ones are in Fadis.
It's not showing up on Illustrate or any other site, 23andme shows me as 100% Somali as well.

I remember seeing another mosque picture floating around attributed to Hafun , haven't really found confirmation on that one.
The rest of the surviving ancient mosques and shrines that are like 300+ years old and so that are not in ruins seem to be concentrated in Harar. But we all know the story there, unfortunately. There might be a few in other places in Ogaden and around Bur/Juba area.
Among the old major coastal towns in the north like Zayla, Hafun, Bosaso, Maydh, and Berbera haven't fared well due to late 1800s and early 1920 bombardment by colonialists from the sea, and in the 1500s and partial abandonement or full abandonment with Zayla due to french railroad system. Same with other smaller settlements.
How much these shrines and tombs dooted the countryside landscape creating an every scene for the casual observer.

The heavy Somali_Kenya kinda proves you do have Oromo ancestry. I have cords and you do have signficant Ethio_HG ancestry which is signals of distant Oromo ancestry. I think this type of ancestry is widespread in Western SL & Fafaan due to centuries of admixture with Oromo women probably via clans such as Jaarso & Akisho who have been completely Somalianized culturally & linguistically.

IMO they are Oromos who are now Somali, same goes for the Akisho. They both have Abtirsis within the Oromo clan system. Gurgure are Dir Somalis tho but they probably have more Oromo ancestry than the Fafaan/Western SL clans..

Somali_Kenya sample is slightly more SSA due to some individuals caerying significant Borana Oromo admixture.
