I took a hiatus to escape the hate we are getting on social media but sadly when I came back to this forum I was reminded by the hate I was escaping which extremely annoyed me since I don't want to see negativity. I noticed the hate has intensified since October. And these videos are making fun of the way we look and it just goes super viral. This does effect me a lot and I hate how it gets posted on this forum. Anyways any of you girls feel a type of way even if it's little with these videos being posted about us? it gets unbearable amount of likes smh.

That still don't sit right with me people attacking somali men. I hate how we are so hypervisible for all the wrong reasons. And tbh those views of somali women are slowly changing because of these videos. My main issue is how the somali hate is normalised when it shouldn't.

Yeah but it's damaging how the stereotypes make people believe the opposite. There was a somali boy that denied being somali after he posted himself on reddit for advise about his hairline like he was ashamed.

It ruined us severely that it might take decades to have a fraction of recovery if this continues (God forbid). Seriously I the sigh if relief I will get when x, instagram reels and tiktok gets shutdown. A relief better than winning major gifts for free.

Im praying they shut down tiktok but I have a feeling it won’t happen. TikTok has damaged our name badly (didn’t think it could get worse) I just feel sorry for these teenage Somali kids. Imagine seeing a post degrading your people that has over 1 million likes.

USA is banning tiktok and j believe other countries will follow soon. Allah knows best but these toxic apps won't exist for long because I refuse to believe the intense hate we are getting will be continous for years.
