It’s been a while guys, any updates on this Haplogroup?
Not much so far.
We learned a bit more about certain subclades that were present in Africa since LSA/Neolithic.
We have Skhirat cave remains, where 2 individuals from the late neolithic with elevated levantine-like ancestry tested positive for
T-PF7455* and
PF7455>
PF7443.
Last year we've also learned about remains from Tunisia, late neolithic as well, belonging to haplogroup T. One of the two (I22852) is also positive for
PF7443, and the other
T-PH196.
A Nubian remain from Kulubnarti (Christian Nubia) also positive for PF7443.
There's an Egyptian mummy (600ish century BC) that belongs to a different branch of
PF7445.
Modern North Africans are quite well represented within that branch. There's an Ethiopian on here too.
I noticed on FTDNA that a Tanzanian person was positive for
T-Y3824, but didn't do BigY. Could be local or of arabian ancestry, who knows.
