Read the sources below. There's no prove whatsoever that himyarites were in mogadishu except for peusdo-science that is backed by neither primary sources or archaeological evidences
Point out where in the periplus does it say that Mogadishu was ruled by himyarites? It only says rhapta which they lived along with the natives. As I previously stated, periplus of erythrean sea and oral history, Azania included Somalia
Xamar is from Ximyaar

Arabs controlled a coastal region in East Africa called Azania, which extended from southern Somalia to Tanzania (Rhapta). The coastal region of Azania, which included Mogadishu, Marka, and Barawa, was subject to Amir Sharahbil Yaβfir ibn Asβad Abu Karib. Please read the source below.
The Somali coast has certainly had ties of dependency with Arabia since very early times. Classical references include Herodotus, who makes mention in the 4th century B.C. of temporary settlements established down the East African coast by Phoenicians; and Agatharkhides, a Greek geographer living in Alexandria in the days of Ptolemy Philometer, tells us in 150 B.C.5 that the first permanent colonisers were the Sabeans from Southern Arabia, whom he describes as being strong, warlike and expert seamen.
They possess large ships and sail to the land of the aromatic products where they found colonies.... It is they who provide the Phoenicians with an endless variety of merchandise and prodigous profits.
Some two hundred years later the importanc "Periplus of the Erythraean Sea"" was written in Greek by an unknown Alexandrian merchant. It is a kind of geo- graphical and mercantile guide to the Red Sea, the East African and Arabian coasts. Part of paragraph 16, referring to the Somali coast, records:
The inhabitants of this coast, men of huge stature, are given to piracy; they live each in their own district, their own masters. In accordance with some ancient right, this district is subject to the sovereignty of the state that becomes most powerful in Arabia, and so is now ruled by the Mapharitic chieftain. From the king it is held tributary by the people of Muza who send there many ships with Arab captains and agents who enjoy the friendship of the natives, intermarry with them and thus become familiar with the coast and its language.
As I told you before, Periplus of the Erythrean Sea says Azania is south of Somalia and is the Swahili Coast, tho it was populated by Cushitic people. As I previously stated, periplus of erythrean sea and oral history, Azania included Somalia
Xamar is from Ximyaar

The first mention of xamar was by a medieval arab scholar saying Mogadishu al xamra'a it was a simple description
"As I told you before, Periplus of the Erythrean Sea says Azania is south of Somalia and is the Swahili Coast, tho it was populated by Cushitic people.

Wth is this"
Azania (Ancient Greek: αΌΞΆΞ±Ξ½Ξ―Ξ±)[1] is a name that has been applied to various parts of southeastern tropical Africa.[2] In the Roman period and perhaps earlier, the toponym has been hypothesised to have referred to a portion of the Southeast Africa coast extending from southern Somalia to the border between Mozambique and South Africa.[3][4] If this is correct, then during classical antiquity Azania was mostly inhabited by Southern Cushitic peoples, whose groups would rule the area until the great Bantu Migration.[5][6]"
