Arabs have tried to Arabise Somalis for centuries but we're still strong. Whether this generation will resist, I don't think so.

At the current, with the availability of the internet. Most youth in the west will eventually realise that clans are myths & that Somalinimo is being revived as a result. However, back home the arabisation has gone so deep that it may take years to de-arabise Somalia & revive authentic Somali culture.

Ngl they started having tv segments and schools exams in that language. The masjids near me in Galkacyo all did their khutba in Arabic.

I don't understand. How are we different from the Iranians when both of us have prevented Arabization for more over a millennium? We still speak Somali and more importantly, our language has been fully documented so it can never be lost. Say what you will about the current generation but our ancestors have defended our culture well.
