If Somalia had a neighbouring country with tall, muscular, handsome African men that were Muslim and decent, nobody would prevent Somali women from marrying them. The lack of intermarriage with other African men is not just about cultural preservation. Likewise for Somali men, if there was natural attraction for other African women (outside of Cushitic women), nobody would stop them either.
I wish other Africans understood this and stopped making embarrassing comments online.

There are Somali men with African American and other Madow wives. Somali women with African American husbands (with normal careers/backgrounds). Somalis marry who they LIKE.
I prefer Somali guur only, but I find it so disingenuous and false to see this constant calaacal about who Somalis want to date and marry. The people who make creepy comments about 'they don't want us', need to speak for themselves only.
Even in Somalia, the real reason why very few people marry Bantus, is because of the culture. Someone was telling me, that there is domestic abuse and other cultures that are very incompatible with ethnic Somalis. There was a Somali Bantu woman I heard about that had MULTIPLE ex-husbands that were all ethnic Somali. Believe me, when people are confident in themselves, they attract people.
