It depends.Hell nah, the people on the street that approach you will probably be beggars sadly, and on the other hand I wouldn’t advise approaching people you don’t know in xamar even for little things like directions if your a diaspora. The people I met who knew me from my family were very nice even the security soldiers were chill af and very kind. I had a culture shock when I saw men holding each others hands there cuz in the west only gay niggas do that but in Somalia if your friends with someone or they’re tryna be nice they’ll hold your hand.
Nighas back home are hella sus holding hands wearing super tight ass jeans and losing their shyt when a women gets too close in their personal spaceHell nah, the people on the street that approach you will probably be beggars sadly, and on the other hand I wouldn’t advise approaching people you don’t know in xamar even for little things like directions if your a diaspora. I guess it depends, judging from the comments here. I would still say the teens and young adults are quite sociable and pretty extroverted from what I have seen. Are Somalis in Somalia friendly and sociable? Is it common to randomly speak to strangers on the streets for a chitchat or is it like Europeans in Europe where they keep it to themselves and less social?
Wlh i was shocked about the hand holding thing tooHell nah, the people on the street that approach you will probably be beggars sadly, and on the other hand I wouldn’t advise approaching people you don’t know in xamar even for little things like directions if your a diaspora. Nah khaleejis aren’t touchy at all and know well to hide their zest. It would be bizarre in gulf nations for male hand holding to be normalised. Cuz in Somalia if you hold a niggas hand you don’t have to second guess if he’s gay or not cuz homosexuality isnt present back home but with khaleejis their bare closeted so you’ll never knowYou don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Somalia is clanistic I don't think people would randomly start a conversation if they don't know who you are. For instance if your family to them yes, but if your a stranger people will be worried who you are. Somalia is currently fighting alot foreign fighters from other countries. If your not Somali or Speak Af Somali properly and don't have Somali ID you'll be taking as threat. Are Somalis in Somalia friendly and sociable?
