So i didn't even know this was a thing but apparently this was one of the final things ANDRZEJEWSKI said on his deathbed in the hospital addressed to somalis

I know right. It seems like somalia was on his mind in his dying days. I always found the idea of a friend of the people cringe. But this dude was the real deal.
 
And look at this. He's confirming my speculation that somali poetry was likely fully developed by the time somalis islamized. Considering that we know this happen in the 7/8th century. Then somali poetry must have already been fully developed by then.

That’s a beautiful message; thank you for sharing. I have no legitimate evidence to base this off, but I suspect our poetic form is quite ancient based on the invocations of figures — perhaps vestigial gods — that have completely been forgotten. There’s something major that we’re missing, and I hope someone can someday draw up feasible hypotheses.

Yeah i have the same idea. So did andrewski. Based of the lack of arabic influence on the poetry. But yeah I really want to uncover that vestigial stuff.
