Another clueless individual. What would be the point in waiting until the next election cycle when the constitution will probably be completed during the incoming President’s term? That is the whole reason he’s running and you can see that by who was selected from Puntland for the Upper House. Faroole remained for a reason.

Excellent news, it's not against constitutional or statutory law for someone to be President/PM of Somalia and the leader of their FMS at the same time. Mr Deni is a competent guy who knows economics, if he wins hopefully we'll become a UAE style federation with a collective federal presidency

@Duchess the only risk with Deni leaving Garowe for Villa Somalia is if Karash becomes the next state president until January 2024 Karash might conspire with the Hiraab who'll become Somalia's prime minister to both undermine President Deni and even worse end PL autonomy in order to practically abolish federalism
UAE is unique only to itself. It wouldn't work like that in Somalia. These were ruling families that ruled over their tribe, they have the culture for it, Somalis do not.
If you really want to copy them then let’s import over 100 million migrants so that Somalis become 10% of the population similar to Emiratis.
Or we cull the Somali population to the point we barely total a million people, so that the FGS can use its oil money to bribe us out of political activism.
Or you can realise that the UAE is an impractical model for a nation of Somalia’s size and economy.
