Ive been scrolling on tiktok and I found this woman’s page, she has the same views as most of y’all on here from what I’ve noticed. She doesn’t like the term AA and she wants to get rid of the term black or to either stop non ados from using it. Anyways her comments are full of Africans angry af just because she doesn’t view them as black. It makes no sense because those Africans gatekeep their culture from AA’s and then when the AA’s wanna do that they get angry. Granted, they do have similar things like braids but other than that they’re completely different. I feel bad for AA’s because it’s like they’re expected to include everyone in their culture yet everyone gatekeeps their culture from them. Like why are you a whole ass Nigerian speaking in AAVE it’s not your culture !!! Anyways she’s pushing for black Americans to call themselves something else. I agree with her because all these other Africans and non ados dont know their place. How many Africans have I seen talking about “reperations” like go back to your country tf .

She's right. Why would an immigrant who has an identity, culture and lineage. Claim the word 'black ' when there identity is beyond that. Its basically like saying f*ck my identity "I'm black" now. Fully right my identity is too complex to just be "black". The term black historically was considered the descendants of the trans Atlantic slave trade who ended up in America. Mr personally society views me as a black MAN. But I would rather say I'm somali from somaliland who's this clan and so on. But to just identity with black is basically dropping your identity fully for a new identity and this is what causes identity issues.
