"Dubai – MENA Herald: P&O Ports has won a 30-year concession for the management and development of a multi-purpose port project at Bosasso in the Puntland State of Somalia. The approximate investment for the modern multi-purpose facility will be USD $ 336m (approx. AED 1.235b) divided into two phases: USD $136 million (approx. AED500m) for Phase 1 and USD$ 200 million (approx. 745m) for phase 2."

The amount of disinformation, lies false assumptions and conclusions mind boggling regardless how many times you debunk it.

UEA is following the China model in terms of state funded businesses splitting them up to create the illusion of competition/separation but they are part and parcel the same, it's the same mule.

If you apply this correct methodology you will see the obvious geopolitical chess move which I posted about before.

The UAE clearly choose Berbera hence military base to enforce it, Bosaaso/Kismaayo are bought to keep them out of foreigners hands so no competition ever arises beyond Djibouti and Mogadishu, that's it nothing more, its like the big businesses stomping out the small smouldering fire before it becomes a large bonfire buying them out before someone else does.

Djibouti nullified their deal, the whole reason UAE is going crazy is the Turkish threat from Mogadishu and being thrown out by Djibouti.

To see how UAE behaves examine several assets she was entrusted upon which includes airport, ports etc particularly in Mogadishu, not a single development & countless broken promises, history serves the best lessons.

This deal pretty much cements the end of Puntland much faster then it's current decline, it will simply be a clientele state at the mercy of UAE, should have gone with Qatar on this, horrible decision.

Oh my goodness, he wrote a post that did NOT name Maxamoud Saleebaan.

Puntland aa? Allah been badaana. The haters are those whom you refer to as "wanlaweyn" not us.

Exactly, it's mostly HAG that is foaming at the mouth. They thought bringing down the Central Govt. in 1991 meant that they would rule the entire Somali peninsula. Unfortunately for them, all that happened is that people went their separate ways and they have AMISOM & Turkish sugar daddies. :umad:

His obsession is real wallahi. He knows too much about Majerteen subclans, meanwhile we hardly care about theirs. He's trying to create division but it's never gonna work. He needs to focus on his people and his regions. There's no such thing as Somalinimo, only qabiil and he needs to focus on his. Bermuda Triangle kulaha Aabaha cuun baan ku leeyahay.

Bro, he studies MJ like muslims study the holy Qur'aan. He can tell you when a Maxamoud Saleebaan person has had a bowel movement and what its consistency is.

Meanwhile, I guarantee the average MJ or Puntite can't name HAG subclans nor do they care to learn.

Why does Gaas love Emirates so much?
Also puntland is a semi autonomous region.

This deal is a bad for Bosaso since Berbera will get half a billion investment

We are an autonomous region, we govern our own land, the federal government may not stick their noses in our business until they fix konfur. But yeah i agree, the way we are going you would think we advocate for an independent country

Hypothetically speaking, will Puntland get in line behind the central government if Al shabab is defeated and stability returns? I personally doubt it. The Puntland higher ups would never give up their power :francis:

There is no need, centralization was the reason the full scale civil war caused so much damage. When Hargeisa was attacked, life went on but when Mogadishu was attacked the entire country crumbled. Everybody should be able to take care of their own affairs and business but respect the federal government.

Please dont just say mumbo jumbo go and do some research about the civil war :bell:

The same ppl that were dragging and slamming SL for the berbera deal have went the same path. Reer Bermudas have lost there criticism card of SL today. Yesterday you were accusing Ethiopia of taking 19% for free, y'all better pray this deal is better than the Berbera deal, if u guys own anything less than 40% STFU and don't ever bad mouth SL.:siilaanyolaugh:

Balkanization will not work. All it will do is create more conflict, over who owns what land, who owns what resources and so on. Say oil is found tomorrow in the disputed galmudug/puntland region. Now what? War is inevitable.

What's even the point in splitting up? How come other African countries are capable of living under centralized governments but Somalis are somehow unable to? Somalia is stronger together, if people move beyond clan divisions.

SSDF created was created by MJ millitairy officials who last fate in the regime after the loss of the civil war
Founded in 1978 by several army officers, it was the first of several opposition groups dedicated to ousting the authoritarian regime of Mohamed Siad Barre. With its power base mainly in the Majeerteen clan

SNM The Somali National Movement was organized in on April 6, 1981 by Hasan Adan Wadadi, who stated that the group's purpose was to overthrow the Siaad Barre regime.[ The SNM gathered its main base of support from members of the Isaaq clan, who joined and supported the movement in response to years of systematic discrimination by the Siaad Barre government.

USC
The USC was formed in response to severe acts against the Hawiye tribe by the government of Mohamed Siyaad Barre. During the period of 1987 to 1991, Ex-President Barre launched massive crack downs and use of force against the Hawiye in their homeland in Southern and Central Somalia. The most notable incidents were in Central Somalia in the area near Galkacyo in November 1989 which resulted in the deaths of many civilians at the hands of the Somali National Army.
