Now compare that to Somalilands fake election where the president was decided before the election took place..

There was no disputes because those weren't elections, an electorate of under 200 people who themselves are unrepresentative is hardly an election. The SL election had actual people/citizens numbering half a million choosing. Now the electioneering and warped tactics of kulmiye and the jeeganta is fucked up, laakin that's symptomatic of a wider malaise in the Somaliland politics (full of corrupt and incompetent bad actors) but the election itself is fine.

I think this all depends on where you believe the legitimacy of a government is derived, I believe the people you believe oyherwise
