With rent/mortgage, childcare, bills, food, student loans and so much more

How does the average person afford it? Can you afford it?

i would never want a stay at home wife that shii annoyin and we get less money. i want a girl who goes to work same as me and we take care of kids together

Having a housewife is only feasible if you make enough for both to get by comfortably, it's unreasonable to ask a woman to stay at home if you're barely making enough to get by

It’s not either-or. Both can take care of their kids by having a schedule that works for them. Marriage is teamwork. It shouldn’t be a power struggle.

Yes but it's better to have your parents live with you to take care of the kids while you both work. The Indians and Chinese do this. Working from home is the game changer though.

That might be the norm post-corona, at lot of businesses have probably realized they're hemorrhaging money leasing office spaces. Middle-management types will probably go ape-shit though.
