I wonder what effect it'll have on obesity rates and people's ability to interact/socialize.
Obesity being the result of sedentarism is a meme, honestly. Weight is 99% diet. Take it from someone who's been incredibly sedentary with no exercise for the past 1-2 years and has remained lean and the same weight the entire time. And it's not "genetics" or a freak metabolism as I've been borderline obese in the past and can balloon up quite easily. It's just that I stay away from processed foods and most of the carby stuff.
Being sedentary and cooped up all the time becomes more about mental health decay when you have your diet down.
