Canada has a population and economy lower than Texas currently they could be a peaceful rich country with American military protection if they just had the right leader

I was thinking the same. Canada doesn't need to waste resources on defence, have borders with the biggest market in the world, 2nd largest country in the world in terms of landmass and have a tiny population.

Tbh Quebec is the only part of Canada where you have a large Latino population especially in Montreal but with minimal Indian/Punjabi community. I guess the Latinos prefer Quebec because French is a Latin language like Spanish while Indians are allergic to French.

Mexican immigrants helped lift places like Texas and Arizona out of irrelevancy and on to the top of economic charts whith gdp growth in Texas surpassing China at 7.7

Texas & Arizona benefit from being within the US. If Ontario joined the US it would immediately become one of the great economic powerhouses.
