Mogadishu is a colonial capital. Most African capitals are on the coast because it best serves their colonial masters.

How can you consider yourself a proud Somali when living in a city built by your colonial masters?

Changing the capital will change the colonial mindset of Somalis. Somalis will have a new sense of pride knowing that their capital was built by their own hands.
