Western Tigray has a very low population and it's very flat, very favorable terrain for drones and airstrikes, and the logistical situation favors Amhara forces as there is a single lane dirt road from Tigray but a highway from Gonder. TDF could probably recapture it but there are higher priority places like securing the northern border with Eritrea.

Also the bridges over the Tekezze were sabotaged by Amhara so TDF cannot bring heavy equipment across.

If Abiy is serious about defeating TPLF and keeping Ethiopia united he must take the fight back to Tigray and make Tigray the only theatre of war first and foremost.

@Sheikh Kulkuli ninyo tplf is crumbling like dry clay maxaa yeelay? They ran out of steam and doqomo OLA turned out to be a flop. Will they make a last stand at Mekele or scurry into the hills?
Hope they get outside assistance to prolong this war so eventually Ogadenia breaks away.

We dont know yet we need to see ENDF boots in Makelle again.

The other issue is TDF capturing Addis Ababa will not give us any advantage.
The useless Tigrayans will then make peace with Amhara as hey did in 1991.

For Ogaden region to be independent we need genuine people who are not greedy opportunist.

I dont think they are scrambling but they are just retreating back to tigray cuz they realized that OLA is just a paper tiger and something never existed for real plus the drone attacks which is hunting them down so badly with high precision cuz of all those snitches all over the areas they occupied leaking the axact locations of their presence so there is no need to stay such hostile environment if you cant push forward

So basically the war will continue may be in tigray kilil cuz tigray people is fighting an existential war so if they give up fighting they will lose in both community and individual level given that almost half of their territories taken by amhara even before the war ended so there is no other option for them but just to die honorably while youre fighting or die after being gang raped by FANO and our agames will not let us get off our joyride for a while😀😀

At this time it would be different, I think they would've let everyone go and take afar lowkeys with them and established their own separate nation, but agames arent lucky as they were in 1991 and atbest they will be the 2nd gaza strip of the world

That area is heavily militarized. Eritrean troops and heavy artillery.... Tanks.... Ethiopian defense forces.. Amhara forces. Etc.
They cannot afford for their enemy to have access to Sudan from where anyone can supply, arm, aid the TPLF. There's also apparently about 20,000 to 30,000 former TPLF soldiers in refuge camps in Sudan .. if they know link with TPLF led Tigray, it can make a difference....
