TBH I think this was a bad move on the government's part. This guy has a martyrdom complex and craves attention more than anything and this is something he was probably hoping for with his provocativeness. Not to mention he has taken up any official position in the two neighborhood administration so it's too premature to arrest him for that. The government instead should have made it harder for him to do any of his so called Journalism in Somaliland.
He's most likely going to be released soon. But if he stays in SL he's going to get harassed regularly by the police.

I concur with you adeer!

But I know something that a lot of you don't know. I been told that he grew up in Yemen and that when he got back to burco he was mental for several years. I mean institutionalized for a while. Even now if you watch him you can see that he suffers from bipolar disorder because you'll see him go from elated to deflated happiness.

I actually believe that he will be physically beat up by the public. Lunatic patriot like @waraabe will plummet him as he sits at a shaax place.

It has been confirmed. The military yunta known as Somaliland is suppressing dissent :ohdamn:

At least now they can never claim to be a democracy:damedamn:

What excately are they charing him for or is that not needed anymore? :cosbyhmm:
treason probably.

i wonder if they'd wage a war or ignite a civil war if farmaajo told them ciyaarta naga daa. these people sound very insecure and violent.

Lol Coldoon stopped being a journalist a long time ago and now a propoganda machine for the xamar government. He's no different than any Dirty Waqooyi that thinks he can come to Somaliland and expects to be welcomed with open arms. :mjlol:

If he wants to be part of Somalia so badly no one is stopping him from moving there. :drakekidding:
he already is there though.. :mjlol:

so you...a canadian believe a man should be put in prison solely because of his harmless political views? does that not reak of the same dictatorship you and your fellow traitors often site as the reason your no longer a soomaali but rather a british lap dog who wants to go back to the blessed times of colonization?

Any country will do anything to protect their national security. Just like how the US government is now investigating Mike Flynn because of his relations with the Russian government.

The difference between us and you is that we arrest journalists while you assassinate journalists in broad daylight.

He's going to be released anyway so I don't know why you're getting all worked up about it.

i just don't understand how you could support a isaaq state solely because of said barre and his dictator like actions and now your government is no different to that. had somaliland had more power and was actually a recognized state. i see it being no different to eritrea. a police state.

waraabe

Your superior

Come back when you stop assassinating journalists

Ceeb !!! The man was student in Yemen, he finished his BA there and came back to help his country. He all time encourages the youth to build their country not run and leave.

Can some please elaborate on this? Is Coldoon an MP, and for what reason did he go to Hargeisa if he is? I thought all those that join the Federal Government are no longer welcome in SL. I thought Cumar Carte said something to this effect.

No he's not an MP, he's an independent journalist and humanitarian.

:faysalwtf: Your right, that is desperation.

Has he said anything inflammatory about SL or anything pro Somali-weyne?

He went to Mogadishu to show his support for Farmaajo, he also very anti-ethiopian. He hasn't explicitly stated that Somaliland and Somalia should form a union but it's clearly implied from the way he talks.

That is quite desperate behaviour. Hopefully he will be released promptly, maybe his clan can start flexing some muscle.

Saxib I am still trying to wrap my head around the idea of Isaaq nationalists being rather numerous. Which sub clans Isaaq are the foremost nationalistic or pro somaliweyne? My reaction to the news of celebrations in SL over Farmaajos victory was more than surprise.
