Debunking that Yusuf bin Ahmad al-Kawneyn brought Islam in the Maldives

so as many of you know Yusuf bin Ahmad al-Kawneyn is known for bringing Islam to Maldives in Somali history, but it looks like they aren't the same person. both Moroccans and Somalis both claim him, but it looks like Yusuf isn't from either of their countries but he is from none other than Iran. let me show you some evidence:

β€œThis wooden plate found in a mosque was described by Ibn Battuta; it honors another Saint who Islamised the Maldives”

No daleel. Link that plate to the actual contents of the book or anywhere besides that website then we have a hit.

Even if that was true. β€œHistory is a set of lies agreed upon” it doesn’t matter who brought it there. The point is that Somalis get the credit for it at the end of the day:

If his name started with "T" wouldn't the city he was named after be called or at least start wit "T"?
He was also responsible for the first muslim settlement in sri lanka
The city of beruwala was named after him to honor him
Apparently the name came from "barbar" not "tabrizi" or anything similar

Also muslims from the horn of africa were always present there
There was recorded a habashi muslim there and a somali chief when ibn battuta visited it

Who is the explorer transcribing writings on the wooden plate, and disputing ibn Battuta's scrolls? Do you have the actual Arabic writing in a legible form?

Postscript:
The locals believe he was of Somali extraction. At a shop in Male, and later in Maafannu, I saw a picture of the Sheikh hanging on the wall behind the counter, and with his name catching my eye, I enquired as to his identity, and was told his was the 'Sheikh al belad', who brought Islam to the archipelago; I told them he was my uncle (he was not, but 'cos of his being a son of Somal), and was treated as a noble in his domain for the rest of my brief stay. You may continue to debate the rest.

The islands were once predominantly governed by people of Arabian origin, of Yemen & Maghreb to be more precise, (there was a Somali governor), but has since been taken over by Sri Lankans and Hindus.
