A PhD and Masters take a lot of money especially in the states and a lot of your time. Please don’t condemn yourself to a career that doesn’t allow you to provide for yourself. Passion is important but so is money. All the passion in the world won’t pay your bills. There are many ways you can help people and still make a living. Just take that into consideration. Your dreams are wonderful, and inshallah it’ll work out for you.
