because africans had no influence on europeans. the europeans who were influenced by arabs like the spanish to this day still have arabic names. at the end of the day whether you like ot or not, arabic had a strong influence on much of the world including somalia, thats not the issue. somali culture is just weak. no real written language, no literature, no arts, no media....if it fades away its not arabic influence its because its lackluster. most other cultures would use parts from other cultures to modernize their own while still retaining their own culture.
Somali culture is hardly "weak", especially on the homefront. Somalis quite remarkably made every single foreign group in their midst, including Arabs like Yemenis, assimilate to their culture. There is almost no case of the reverse happening in Somaliweyn. Oromos, Arabs, the various diverse groups who intermarried with Gibil-Madow Benadiris like Central Asians, Desis, Egyptians, Iranics and so on... former enslaved Bantus... virtually all adopted the Somali language and cultural elements and sometimes barely even remember their previous roots like how most Gibil-Cad Benadiris have no clue that there's usually 1/4th Desi ancestry in them.
Yes, in the actual Somali language itself there's not all that much preserved literature (though there was historically a fair amount) because Somalis predominantly used Arabic as their written language for the last thousand years but so what? Lots of peoples like that. It's unfair though to claim an ethnic group who produced scholars 200 years ago or more that were being respected in places like Cairo and Makkah have a weak literary culture. And arts and media? C'mon, there's almost too much of that with Somalis, not to mention our language's beautiful poetic tradition which impressed many ajanabi groups. And there really are zero indications that our language and culture is going to fade. All this "We are becoming Arabs" stuff is beyond braindead and untrue. Most people back home don't even speak Arabic.
