I tell them I’m from Somalia cause I simply don’t have the energy to explain to every white dude I see what the f*ck a puntland is. It’s already bad enough that some of them don’t know what Somalia is I have to tell them I’m from Africas nose.

Yeah can’t lie lowkey these people don’t know Somalia or anything African related especially when I was growing up. Used to get asked if I was Black Canadian the ones that came from America or the Caribbeans.

Most people didn't know about Somalis in the 2010s were I live, all I got from some caadans and other Africans was that I wasn't black, thankfully, I was thought about my history and culture from a young age, so I clapped back.

Breaking news , the average foreigner barely knows what somalia is and doesn't know anything about PL . Mentioning your region is a stupid thing that I only expect from Somalilanders , it's quite site that PL folks also do this. In any case SL and PL are somalis, if you want to disassociate from Somalia you are more than welcome claiming to be Ethiopian

The vast majority of landers say they are from Somaliland , they do it to avoid being associated with Somalia's issues. There's even a tendency among landers to get offended if they are called "Somali" which is just our ethnic group

This chap is just a young, edgy, seemingly chronically online fella with little knowledge of his homeland and people. 99% of people from PL say they're from Somalia or simply say, "I'm Somali".
