I tell them I’m from Somalia cause I simply don’t have the energy to explain to every white dude I see what the f*ck a puntland is. It’s already bad enough that some of them don’t know what Somalia is I have to tell them I’m from Africas nose.

Most people didn't know about Somalis in the 2010s were I live, all I got from some caadans and other Africans was that I wasn't black, thankfully, I was thought about my history and culture from a young age, so I clapped back.

Mentioning your region is a stupid thing that I only expect from Somalilanders , it's quite site that PL folks also do this. The vast majority of landers say they are from Somaliland , they do it to avoid being associated with Somalia's issues. There's even a tendency among landers to get offended if they are called "Somali" which is just our ethnic group

I'm not sure about last one , many Isaaq say they are Somalilander or specify their are from Somaliland.

Here is a question: Why would someone born and bred in London say h(sh)e is from .So when in reality h(sh)e knows nigh to nought about .So, does not speak the language, acts just like the average Brit, is not culturally Somali, is Muslim by association, and everything about one's life is British?
