I think new generation 18 and under who now overwhelm this site. if I had to take guess most donβt even speak language nor can read it. They acclimated to life in west.

Trump deported a decent amount of somalis that never their obtained citizenship. Non American fob somalis with a criminal record are the main ones that will ever have to worry about getting deported. No Somali with an American citizenship is getting deported

Denying birthright or even naturalized citizenship is unconstitutional and grounds for impeachment. It would be political suicide for anyone to attempt that.
America has issues dealing with illegal and legal migration with nothing being done to stop it, but people here are somehow deluded enough to think citizens will be deported just because Trump is in office.

I have made some links to maths texts in science and tech forum for those from age of 3 to 18.Unless you are suffering from the evil eye, intellectually/physically disabled, learning difficulty, suffering from traumas, mental illness, terrible family background etc, you really have no excuse to chill in the diaspora.

I really think those with white-collar jobs, should also try to pick up new skills, especially you men. You're not guaranteed an office job in Somalia, you'll need to create your own jobs.

you make due with what allah has given you and he gave you access to the west, Somaliweyn may never exist and Somalia will take decades to improve and heal so putting your eggs in this basket is risky.

Sounds nice in theory but the quality of life is awful there. Somalia (and Somali regions) are good for vacation but living there permanently? No.
In North America pretty much everyone is a descendant of immigrants so if youβre born here and got sharci youβre good. No danger of deportation.
I would worry if I was a European Somali though.

No upstanding citizen is getting deported from America stop buying into the right wing bs. No way anyone born after 2000 would want to live in Somalia. The way of life there is very poor compared to what they're used to. I encourage them to stay in the west and live there all your life if possible. The people back home would dislike you if you went back there and tried to fix up the country. Nice vacation spot but nothing more than that.

My honest opinion when it comes to living there as a woman:
Moving back home doesn't seem like an appealing option to any xalimo that's liberal.
The pros:
Back home really isnβt that bad for middle class diaspora women even if youβre very pro-womenβs rights. Somalis donβt have the overly rigid patriarchy found amongst Asiatics and youβre free to study, work and open businesses. As for hijab? Thatβs a must and tbh as a Muslim you shouldnβt be opposing this. Wear your abaya and be quiet. Every society has a right to have a bench marker for modesty. With regards to male attitudes, Is it a lot more sexist than the West? Yes, but Somali women on a day to day basis are able to get on with their lives and are able to tell random men who come with unsolicited energy to stuff themselves. Being opinionated isnβt condemned in women in Somali culture which is one of our saving graces. As women we can be bold and fight back verbally and make strides in businesses.
The cons:
What I find terrible is the lack of applications of laws. Everything I note Iβve ever seen with my own eyes or the experiences of close family members whoβve seen it with their own eyes. This isnβt even about liberalism at this point. You canβt even send your daughters to school without being afraid that a male macaalin isnβt going to try and hit on her when she turns 12. If you try and report him, the police donβt even care enough to keep him in prison and will make you pay for his food and water whilst he is in prison. Yes you, will have to pay for upkeep in prison Bruce youβre the one that wants him there. No joke. Dugsi in which all children go to, girls arenβt even safe there. It is a society devoid of accountability. Someone can steal your land, try and groom your daughter and they will mostly get away with it. Itβs a nightmare in this regard and back home is a predators heaven. You need to be vigilant as a mother there and watch daughters like a hawk.
Marriage is another issue. There are hardly any courts that implement order when it comes to men abandoning women and concepts like child support canβt even be enforced which is why itβs common to see a crying woman with 5 kids asking for handouts on social media who is desperate. Very evil men can literally get rid of a woman and then blackmail her into giving up her children via money and even place those kids with strangers. I know of a case in which a dispora male made his ex give up her kids and then placed the kids with his second cousin who he was paying. So now, the kids have no mother and a father chilling in the West but under the care of randoms because dad wanted to punish wife but not deal with the kids.
The issue is more than liberalism, even a religious conservative person who isnβt a hypocrite can see that itβs no manβs land there. But hypocrites will lie and say this isnβt an issue since they like the chaos or are fools in denial.
In saying that, if youβre a self sufficient middle class woman can you live there in relative decency? Yes. These are the pros and cons.
To sum up: On a cultural level Somalis allow women relative independence if the women have money which diaspora woman do, but local laws arenβt enforced and men can get with nearly everything.
