We have really fallen from brave warriors with one of the largest territories to looking like a mad scientist crying for help,our forefathers must be rolling in their graves to see the state of the young generation of men on how they turned out to be.

To be fair with you: diasporas Somalis are not proper indigenous Somalis. They’ve been digitally westernised that have been environmentally influenced. We can’t genuinely relate to our forefathers that have grown up without internet usages and toxic influences.

They’ve seen everything and went through everything. Proper sunlight, proper activity and good diet. And good social life. We can’t relate. We’re not like them. We’re different than them.

We need to find another alternative to better ourselves.

I think we have a BIG mental health crisis in our community. I also suspect our genes make it easier for us to be affected by drug and alcohol abuse, moreso than others.

Outside of the obvious issue of having disproportionately high cases of autism in our community (which can be explained and an issue that can potentially be addressed), Somalis have something wrong with their dopamine receptors. Seriously look into it, it explains A LOT. Whether it be having an insane crave for attention or being so susceptible to addiction problems alongside with other symptoms.

Thousands, maybe tens of thousands of years of a genealogy of people who spent a vast amount of time in mostly dopamine lacking endeavours such as fighting to find water and grazing explains this in my opinion. We are supposed to get way less dopamine than other ethnic groups that came from a long or partial line of recent hunter gather people's or even farmers because really farmers had alcohol and other drugs at their disposal to make up for the labours of farming and even also, farming requires only certain periods of the year to be in exertion unlike being a Nomad whose constantly in pain whilst travelling.

My theory is due to the fact that our ancestors barely got any dopamine, and that their bodies were adapted to only receiving small bursts very rarely, our dopamine receptors as a people today have been fried more than others and we struggle more with the drug than others causing us to chase something that we simply aren't used to having.

Oh and about hunter gathers, do a little research into them and most of their existence was lounging around and relaxing.
Their descendants are very receptive to dopamine and alot doesn't fry their systems.
