Social media platforms such as twitter/X are incentivizing usage in one certain way, leveraging emotions like anger, resentment, envy to evoke repeat compulsive use , manipulated by algorithms and like/rt/view functions. It's the way in which they have designed these platforms that is the problem. A simple content moderation is not going to fix this.

They are talking nonsense and putting on a display, they can't sanction even the whole EU.

What will happen is that the EU will request for them to pay a hefty fine and force them to change the platforms moderation and content regulations and take things down.

If they fail to comply they will Ban the app in all EU countries and take it off Apple store shelf's.

Similar to what happened with Brazil, Elon caved and gave them what they wanted instead of losing a large userbase
