I kind knew. This was Inevitable. Instead of trying to hold on to the liyu we should’ve had a say in the centre. Like the military and the sirdoon and policy making in the country we’re already nijaas why stay out of itI think it has to do with the gov't monopolizing all security apparatus in the long run, then the actual forces being removed per se.
Now that we have state forces, it was/is easy to hide militias behind them and use them during conflict areas since every region are already armed and hard to distinguish. If they are removed, certain border communities will be f*cked as they won't be able to defend themselves. This applies to armed local people too, who have to fend for themselves if they get targeted. The gov't have tried disarm them before, but failed. This will be the next step, watch out!
Since Afar and Oromos has closer ties with the military establishment, they will most likely be superior to us if we get attacked by neighboring regions.i
