Apparenty it did not even rain in qardho it was the nearby villages who had alot of rainfall maybe a riverbed goes trough qardho

There's a Wadi that crosses center of the city and people built houses and stores there, so unless they leave the area you'll hear this kind of floods every year or two.

Yep!

I heard that they are supposed to demolish the area and build a new settlement away from it.
This should be the focus of the Government because this is just suicidal.

Qardho needs a perennial irrigation system m, that stores the flood water from the valley

It’s a technical knowledge that was privy to ancient inhabitants of desert wadi and valleys like Nabateans and South Arabians

All of the north has this potential for us to create irrigated date palm orchards, barley for our livestock, and some wheat, because of the altitude and seasonal flood rains


by managing the water, and storing it we will realize that this seemingly destructive events is a God send boon

No dams, but there're 3 wadis and the southern one is the biggest.
