We don’t expect anything from Israel except for Somalia to have a embassy in Jerusalem and when we get our security and everything in tact for us to have Visa free access to Israel and vice Versa.

Somalia itself is not a nation state, it has no bearing on world politics and has no respect no 'Xland' divisions will ever be recognised or be brave enough to unify the country. Israel has no need for recognition from it nor does transnistria.

To be fair, after Sudan recognised Israel the following had happened…

Sudan removed from State sponsor of terrorism list by Trump and gained debt relief from the Paris club by around $45 billion. This is paused since last year due to the coupe but will be finalised after a civilian government is reinstated.

it was a price worth paying for Sudan. Why should Sudan suffer from financial and political isolation from boycotting Israwhen countries like Egypt and Jordan have Israeli embassies?

understandable, but Somalia doesn't suffers from neither from those sanctions. some people on forum hate Arabs, so they want Somalia recognise Isreal to spite them.

sudan hasnt improved since the ousting of omar al bashir. the "revolution" was a weak one and the former apparatus is still there. they dont have a civilian government.

US basically forced sudan to regconise israel or else they'll stay on the State sponsor of terrorism list. but somalia actually has zero reason to regconise Israel unless if you are one the people that believe Israel will provide military aid if we do so.

Loool I don’t blame them

Israel could prove to be a much more better ally than the Arabs. The secret is not Israel itself. The secret is that having relations with Israel automatically improves relations with Washington, the west and key financial institutions.

It is true that Trump have Sudan an ultimatum. You either recognise Israel or you will suffer. However, Sudan recognising Israel was only a matter of time. Talk of normalising with Israel started since 2014 when Sudan boycotted Iran and Israel urged western nations to improve relations with Bashirs Sudan

Somalia currently has very good relationships with the U.S and other western countries. Recognizing Israel right now would be terrible since the people are very against it and also there's a war against terrorists so it could give them legitimacy. Perhaps in the future if they want to provide military technology

Somalia works with UAE, so we basically work with Israel just not Directly but Indirectly, UAE will work with Isreal and UAE will work with Somalia.

In the end if Somalia wants anything from Isreal we would prob go through UAE

Somali Leaders will use UAE cities to Meet Israelis, and Use UAE planes to fly into Israel.

It is defo worth it. Sudan is not the only Muslim country to be suffering that much economically. The funny thing is, Sudan suffered so much by being so loyal to the Palestinian cause yet found no true help/support from its rich Arab/Muslim neighbours.

The way I see it is that Sudan made the right choice.
