I wish it was built in east mudug, jariiban area, but the lack roads makes it hard to reach.
The current airport will serve as a military airport, it's where our defence is coordinated and a headquarter of the PIS, our intelligence service.

True that would be a good spot. It would also become a hub for Garacad as well which I can see surpassing Gaalkacyo one day, as port cities usually surpass cities without ports.

I like the current airport and its position of its psychological effect on our neighbors which reminds of "ninka sarta saraan" with our planes landing on a hilltop overlooking their slums
@Farm Garacad can't surpass Galkayo as the ports revenues alone can't match GLKs numerous revenues like Dhagacaade hospital for example who receives patients from konfuur to galbeed and always packed which in turn creates business for the hotels. GLK also have several manufacturing companies, infrastructure companies and also lots of education centers which also caters mostly to non-puntites.
I can keep going on and on about the importance of GLK the 2nd biggest source of revenue for PL and biggest manpower source
