The meeting is to discuss the expansion of the Bosaso port. I am pretty sure the man he's meeting is from DP World Dubai, and not someone from the government. The progress and pace of the expansion is really slow. The equipment arrived last year.

I am wondering what will happen to the commercial functions of Berbera port since it will turn into a military base. I am pretty sure it can't be a commercial port and a military base at the same time. Businesses will most probably flock, but the question is where.

I have been following this since 2015. The deal was signed in early 2015 and it was to the tune of $200million. Gaas made several trips last year to the UAE for this project. Not much of the particulars have been shared, there is very little information available.
