Hello everyone,
A friend recently encouraged me to take a DNA test, and since this trend has been growing among Somalis, I decided to give it a try. My results came back 100% Somali, which was no surprise, but my haplogroup caught my attention—it doesn’t seem to be native to the Horn of Africa, or at least, it’s not commonly found here. I’ve tried researching it, but there’s very little information available. I’m curious to learn more about its origins and how it might have made its way to the Horn. If anyone has any insights I wanna hear your thoughts!
