Has Israel made the EU realise that the US does not value them?

Imagine that the US has a whole law justifying the invasion of Hague on the basis of the ICC. Where they have the right to bomb the whole city :mjlol:

The law states the US can invade the Netherlands in order to liberate any American official or officials of a U.S allied country.

The Netherlands is included as an U.S allied country since the clause includes the NATO countries as allies.

But then, aren’t NATO countries supposed to come to each other’s defensive when one is invaded? :ayaanswag:

No, there happy to be US vassals. Never get that twisted. Maybe France will make a cry of it but when it comes to it, all EU nations are happily under US hegemony.

It's the fact that many of the EU nations are part of NATO which depended on the US for security. The US defense expenditure represents 2/3rd of the Alliance as a whole.

Maintaining an alliance with the US is vital to many of them break.

Yeah that was my first thought. What I’m wondering though is what are they protecting Europe from? Not spending past 2% in defense? I mean Europe has no real enemies so I always wonder what there so attached to America for if NATO protection is so vital for them. Economically they can be largely independent but their banks still comply with US regulations.

Imo they're protecting Europe from each other and Russia to a lesser extent. The US has been a pacifying presence in Western Europe since the end of world war 2. They've managed relations amongst them and have largely been successful in extinguishing any crises that broke out between them. Could you imagine what would happen the moment they decided to leave?

There would be a major arms build up by competing European countries such as France, Germany, Britain, and Poland in a competition to the fill the void. This might ultimately lead to a third world war on that wretched continent.

I don’t understand their need for US security in Europe tbh. Uk Germany and France is more than enough to deter Russia and France. Nuclear threats don’t mean much since they can retaliate, the only disadvantage I can think of is financial power/ aid but ukraines been a cash cow since day 1 and cost the US a lot, the EU would be forced to the bargaining table. Europe needs to position itself away from the US defence industry and support itself with united projects such as the euro fighter typhoon. Instead of having countries buy the f35s they should develop their own. While costly it’s a better long term decision to move away from reliance of US industries and to cement European technological independence.

Can someone without delving into conspiracy theories tell me why Israel is sooo important to the US, the only thing I can think of is the Oil in the Middle East but even then most of Americas oil comes from its own country, I'm so confused.
