No, there happy to be US vassals. Never get that twisted. Maybe France will make a cry of it but when it comes to it, all EU nations are happily under US hegemony.
Yeah that was my first thought. What I’m wondering though is what are they protecting Europe from? Not spending past 2% in defense? I mean Europe has no real enemies so I always wonder what there so attached to America for if NATO protection is so vital for them. Economically they can be largely independent but their banks still comply with US regulations. It's the fact that many of the EU nations are part of NATO which depended on the US for security. The US defense expenditure represents 2/3rd of the Alliance as a whole.
Maintaining an alliance with the US is vital to many of them break.
Imo they're protecting Europe from each other and Russia to a lesser extent. The US has been a pacifying presence in Western Europe since the end of world war 2. They've managed relations amongst them and have largely been successful in extinguishing any crises that broke out between them. Could you imagine what would happen the moment they decided to leave?Yeah that was my first thought. What I’m wondering though is what are they protecting Europe from? I don’t understand their need for US security in Europe tbh. Uk Germany and France is more than enough to deter Russia and France. Nuclear threats don’t mean much since they can retaliate, the only disadvantage I can think of is financial power/ aid but ukraines been a cash cow since day 1 and cost the US a lot, the EU would be forced to the bargaining table. Europe needs to position itself away from the US defence industry and support itself with united projects such as the euro fighter typhoon. Instead of having countries buy the f35s they should develop their own. While costly it’s a better long term decision to move away from reliance of US industries and to cement European technological independence.Yeah that was my first thought. Can someone without delving into conspiracy theories tell me why Israel is sooo important to the US, the only thing I can think of is the Oil in the Middle East but even then most of Americas oil comes from its own country, I'm so confused.

How threaten do you think NATO is right now and what is russia Ukraine war going to end do you think Trump going to cut of all aidIt was to provide them a collective security against Soviet that NATO was founded and it has largely remained only that the Soviet Alliance morphed CSTO

Basically when soviet union dissolved , all the former member states signed a military alliance treaty to defend and back eachother. Russia still is their main enemy threat.
Russia has a wider anti-western alliance bloc now that has expanded almost like the Soviet Era.

"We tell the Ukrainians, 'You've got to come to the table, and if you don't come to the table, support from the United States will dry up,'" he said. "And you tell Putin, 'He's got to come to the table and if you don't come to the table, then we'll give Ukrainians everything they need to kill you in the field.'"
This is an interesting take but since there integrated economically (EU) and share currency, one can deduce that it would be far too expensive to go to war and there not fighting over resources so I can't see the Western Europeans fighting each other these next few decades.Imo they're protecting Europe from each other and Russia to a lesser extent. There would be a major arms build up by competing European countries such as France, Germany, Britain, and Poland in a competition to the fill the void. This might ultimately lead to a third world war on that wretched continent.
Trump so called "plan" will not work because their main condition on Putin would be too freeze the current lines and Russia would never agree to that, they will capture several more oblasts and take Eastern Ukraine, this war will be decided on the battlefield and nothing out of Washington will dictate how the war will end. Russia didn't lose 100k soldiers (maybe more) to not have the entirety of Donbas, Luhansk, etc. If Russia accepts this Trump plan, they would officially lose the war which they can't happen for obvious reasons. And if they keep pushing the Russians too hard, they might even lose Odessa and Ukraine will be a land locked country which I predict they will be at some point. Americans are way out of their depth, no amount of Missiles into Russian territory is affecting anything on the battlefield, Ukraine keeps losing there. And if they strike Russian critical infrastructure with NATO guided missiles, Ukraine might get a tactical nuke dropped on them and Washington wouldn't do absolute shit. They need to stop deluding themselves.Trump is going to make NATO members pay each pay 4% of the GDP for defense spending

I am not sure if he is going to cut aid, he is either going to halt or reduce it on the condition that Ukraine works towards a peace agreement and if Russia doesn't come to the Table they are saying they will go out all out war with them.
It is significant because America has avoided direct involvement to not spark a nuclear confrontation, i mean see what happened recently when they authorized an American long missile to be used and Putin retaliated with non-nuclear ballistic missile.
It's kind of crazy that Trump is going to throw Ukraine under the bus and at the same time keep offering unwavering support for Israel to "finish the job" yet one conflict has been going on for decades an the other is fairly new. This is an interesting take but since there integrated economically (EU) and share currency, one can deduce that it would be far too expensive to go to war and there not fighting over resources so I can't see the Western Europeans fighting each other these next few decades.
