Your account is a great addition to the politics sectionThank you for sharing, very few read past the original headline. Others choose to share unnecessary memes, fear monger, use Qabil driven rhetoric, share propaganda, etc.. All of this is a sharp contrast to the Culture and History section of SomaliSpot. The politics section is truly a free-for-all for what is shared and posted as comments. Only a minority of individuals in this section have any understandings of geo-politics.
Anyways, this “Fact Check” by Radio Dalsan echos what @Midas and I have stated previously: this agreement section (4.7) is not about profit sharing, but operational costs.
Correcting misconceptions about the oil deal isn’t equivalent to defending it. There’s a difference.Defend your dameer harder tuug adeer at all costs

This is exactly what I am referring to. Instead of any form of level headed remark I am accused of not only of being a “defender”, but also being paternally related (i.e. same Qabil) to Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.Defend your dameer harder tuug adeer at all costs
There's no misconception, only corruption and you're part of defending these illiterate moryaans.Your account is a great addition to the politics section

I'm no expert so I'm assuming the reason why Somalia doesn't get as much royalties is because its a very risky place to invest in. Also, if the deal is truly bad, Somalia still has the choice to renegotiate or terminate the deal after 5 years.

I already stated my opinion on Hassan Sheikh Mohamud:

What's next deal with the Turks, they'll provide the poor bulgur and cambuulo after ribbing off the country for it's natural resources? Good luck with defending this shitThis is exactly what I am referring to. Turkeys parliament released it, it’s not something that illiterate maryooley parliament releasedHas it been confirmed official? Some people saying its fake news. Either way if Somalia can renegotiate in 5yrs, lets see how this deal plays out.
Where do you see me defending the oil deal in this thread? I’ve only said one thing, and it was this. There’s no need to lie. There's no misconception, only corruption and you're part of defending these illiterate moryaans.
I'm waiting for more sources or clarification. I've been tricked by fake news before.![]()
Only for those 6 blocks. Hopefully Somalia will renegotiate after 5 yearsView attachment 359911
Once Turkey starts exploring any block it can’t be cancelled by Somalia…
Well I don't think the source is fake, seing the secrecy surrounding the deal, they were proud of the deal they won't be secret and shady about it and would reveal to the public... Turkey is just looking for their interest they don't care about Somalis or Somalia.. I'm telling you these people are not your friends.Where do you see me defending the oil deal in this thread? I’ve only said one thing, and it was this.
Where in the agreement does it say it’s for only 6 blocks?Only for those 6 blocks. Hopefully Somalia will renegotiate after 5 years
Not the agreement itself but past sources confirmed it. 3 to be specific but 6 in totalWhere in the agreement does it say it’s for only 6 blocks?
That doesn’t matter though? This is the LEGAL agreement Somalia signed. It’s going to Erdogan’s desk as we speak. The Turkish parliament ratified it.Not the agreement itself but past sources confirmed it. 3 to be specific but 6 in total

Well the agreement itself doesn't say every oil block and Somalia of course still has full owner. That doesn’t matter though? This is the LEGAL agreement Somalia signed. It’s going to Erdogan’s desk as we speak. The Turkish parliament ratified it.
