lol. Canadian trump supporters are goofs. I'm going to verbally smack one of my Trumptard coworkers tomorrow when I see him.

I'm interested in seeing what the FX markets do over the next 2-3 weeks to see how seriously people are taking it. Everyone seems to think it's just a negotiation tactic (similar to 2017/18), and he might not go through with it.

But the news is going to hurt a lot of Americans as well, if companies start stockpiling Canadian/Mexican goods in anticipation, they might have to lay off workers in the short term to cut costs temporarily, look at how much money Target is losing because they stockpiled ahead of the port strike which didn't even happen.

Also, Trudeau was dumb for going along with American isolationism regarding China, we could've diversified our export partners to hedge against something like this. Now we're too exposed to American trade policy.

Canada Mexico china are the USs biggest trading partners and they make up nearly HALF of all US imports.

These tarifs will f*ck up supply chains and would also likely result in higher costs for business owners and for the average wage slave such as yourself, this will directly increase the costs for your everyday life while you suffer from inflation from this disastrous policy.

Tariffs operate like a tax that cooperation pay and they will pay it but raise the prices that consumers have to pay for.

But trump and his team are pee-brains, they think they are punishing the countries were these goods are imported from.

I'm kinda here for it. They voted for Trump and after he screws the country over, they cannot disavow him without disavowing the political philosophy of the right wing.
