Ditch the term Horn Africa for terms like Adalistan, ifataynia, Ajuurland, Harlanda……
Yeah i remember that thread, they were making assumptions of us being inbred when in reality we are the purest of Cushites, we basically kept our stock ever since Proto-Nilotic and Natufians mixed, that’s why we cluster close to the ancient Neolithic pastoralists Kenya and Tanzania.
Who is habeshas? What about saho? Those guys are still 20% Mota bear in mind. They're not like us.
Population | Main Ancestry Components | Neanderthal DNA | Denisovan DNA | Ghost/Archaic African DNA | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Horn Africans | East African + West Eurasian | ~0.5–1.5% | Trace | ~2–5% (unknown archaic African) | High Eurasian back-migration; ancient African depth |
West Africans | West African hunter-gatherers | None or Trace | None | ~8–19% (unknown archaic African) | Deep African ancestry with ghost DNA |
Europeans | Out-of-Africa + West Eurasian | ~1.5–2.1% | Tiny/None | None | Descended from non-African lineages post-migration |
East Asians | Out-of-Africa + East Eurasian | ~2–2.3% | ~0.1–0.3% | None | Slightly more Neanderthal DNA than Europeans |
Melanesians | Out-of-Africa + Oceanian | ~2% | ~4–6% | None | Highest Denisovan DNA globally |
What do you guys think of this sub Reddit
Acting having mota is bad in fact they got better genesThose guys are still 20% Mota bare in mind. They're not like us.
would you like to elaborate on thatActing having mota is bad in fact they got better genes
Is mota omotic? And where does it come from, it’s it exclusive to Ethiopians or both Ethiopians and Eritreanswould you like to elaborate on that
the thing is, Mota was an ancient person living in Southwest Ethiopia back then. He himself wasn't Omotic, as it was a long time ago, but he was ethnically similar to the Omotic people we have today. He was straight up pure East African hunter-gatherer with 0 Eurasian blood iirc... now as for exclusivity, it's not only Ethiopia where you will find Mota-like ancestry, but when found outside of southwest Ethiopia, it's usually small traces.. I think Eritreans also don't have much Mota like blood either.. I'm not the most knowledgeable on this, but this is what I recallIs mota omotic? And where does it come from, it’s it exclusive to Ethiopians or both Ethiopians and Eritreans
so are somalisArent most of the afars in djibouti imported from ethiopia during french colonialism tho .
Ik that cuz most issas lived in somali galbeed and awdal before djiboutis independence , so how would afars in djibouti be closer genetically to Somalis than the other Afars when both of them are basically imports that have been in djibouti for only a few generations.so are somalis
Tbh i don't think any would be close to us genetically, ethnic divides were always strong.Ik that cuz most issas lived in somali galbeed and awdal before djiboutis independence , so how would afars in djibouti be closer genetically to Somalis than the other Afars when both of them are basically imports that have been in djibouti for only a few generations.
Interestingly some still consider these to be different species but reproduction shouldn’t be possible if that is case. They can’t be all that different if humans living today still carry their dna. Usually when you cross-mate different species you get sterile animals like Ligers and Mules.I came across yt channel discussing West African ghost population(8-19% DNA comes from unknown archaic hominid keep in mind Neanderthals and Denisovans are archaic humans too). It was filled with racism, calling WA subhuman who have archaic ancestry.
2 million yrs ago → Homo erectus
|
1 million yrs ago → Split: Homo erectus ↔ Homo heidelbergensis (ancestor of Neanderthals and us)
|
700–500k yrs ago → Homo sapiens split from Neanderthals/Denisovans
|
400k yrs ago → Neanderthals ↔ Denisovans split

They are all human just slightly different, the last common ancestor between the pygmies of central Africa and the San existed 200,000 years ago, there have been multiple instances of neaderthals breeding with homo sapiens up till the last one which was 30-40,000 years ago, the human story will unravel over time, hopefully we get better samples for NEA and the horn, it would gives us early insights into the early migrations out of Africa.Interestingly some still consider these to be different species but reproduction shouldn’t be possible if that is case.
