Season 2 finale felt like a long trailer for season 3 rather than an actual season final. It looks like they are taking it slow and don’t want to repeat the rushed season 8 fiasco of Game of Thrones that ruined that entire series. It’s better to have long drawn out seasons like this where they develop the characters and plot than get another situation like Daenerys randomly turning schizo and burning the same city she had been trying to liberate and rule since she first hatched the dragons or the Night King getting stabbed and shattered into pieces an hour into setting foot on Winterfell’s soil after they built him up for seven seasons.

It’s just annoying that we have to wait another two years, because the best stuff is still to come.

I felt that way too both sides have multiple times reconfirmed that war is inevitable but they still don’t throw a single punch.

There only 1 major battle in this season it feels like.
