How do people afford marriage nowadays?

I can’t stand this thinking. Or, instead of saying you’ll work two jobs, just educate yourself highly and get ONE job that can pay all of your bills so you can live comfortably.

Education doesn’t give you a high paying job outside being a doctor and at that point it’s cost effective considering the time your wasting and the debt

Why do you sound defensive walaal? I was merely suggesting that you should wait to get married and have all of your ducks in a row instead of rushing and finding any job hoping that you’ll be able to survive in a economy that increasingly requires a two-income household (ie wifey is working)

There are loads of careers that allow you to earn a healthy six figure income and enable you to live comfortably, being your own boss, setting your own hours, all without being in school for decades. with the amount of fitna in the west, i'd advise my brothers and sisters to get married as soon as possible, even if you're in school. the fitna here is real and not a joke.
and zina is a serious sin in Islam. Allah says do NOT even come close to Zina, forget about actually committing it!
Of course have some money saved, and so on, but remember: Allah promises wealth for the one who marries to protect themselves from the sins of the private parts, so if you believe in Allah-the one who never lies and never breaks his promises, marry.

It seems like most of the guys on this forum are committed to living a life of mediocrity. Educate yourself (at least masters level) learn your deen, make your money and then get married. Your life will be so much better because you aren’t struggling financially. Get quick money jobs such as security, truck driving or xamaal are not suitable for you to be working at for decades.

I agree with this but you need to have your stuff together, especially for brothers being financially stable. If you have a support system to help you get married, by all means. But to go into a marriage anticipating intense financial challenges is not fair to you, your wife and your future children.

Sxb, don't be fooled, once the post nut clarity overcomes you, you will soon realise that you've made a grave mistake. Finish school, get a well-paying job and keep saving up.
