HSM's critics are just straight up against a strong Somalia.

Yes it will. But that will be over the course of years. The idea that after debt forgivnwss that hsm will suddenly be given acess to several billion dollars in loans is laughable. On top of that To argue that somalia should "earn " the right to have its debt forgiven is illogical. I could use this to argue somalia shouldn't dig out oil because it hasn't "earned "
The oil would be Somalia’s though?…while the loans are not Somalia’s money so not a great analogy. What does it matter how long it takes either? There will be loans made available and with Somalia’s history I don’t trust any of these guys, not just HSM. There is just no transparency at all. Where did all the money from the public land sales go? There wasn’t even an auction 😂

But we're talking about debt being forgiven which means somalia doesn't owe any money. Regardless for wether we get loans or not. You can't say it's good for somalia to not get ids debt forgiven. The future is the future and also there are no perfect govt anywhere.

@Dalac Bilaash When Somalis agreed to adopt the federal system, we deliberately chose a model of government where the federal government would be weaker than it had been in 1991. A weaker center is not a bug, it's a feature.

Xasan Sheekh wants to get rid of federalism without making it clear to the Somali people. He should come out and say "federalism has proved unworkable, I want to recentralize the country." Instead of doing this, he ignores the agreed upon constitution and edits it with bribed MPs.

Somalia will remain a failed state until federal gov politicians come to terms with the fact that federalism is here to stay, and that a strong centralized state is out of the question in the coming decades.

Look I support some of the government initiatives but you've drank the Kool-Aid. They're not taking over ATMIS bases in jubaland, they're causing havoc. Spend that time free more land that can part take in 1p1v.

People really hiding behind “somalinimo” to hide their qabyalaad bias for gurgurte. With Hassan as president, Somalia should not have the arms embargo lifted, 1p1v as it will be corrupt, or shouldn’t be able to take out new loans as the money will go missing

Goals for HSM
-----------------

Defeat Alshabab - Phase 1 isn't even finished and he has only a year and a half left.
ATMIS Withdrawal - A whole new mission called AUSSOM is starting in 2025 and the Ethiopian forces stationed in Gedo and Bay are not leaving by Dec 31st.
Finishing the constitution with all the stakeholders on-board - PL already disagreed with the first four chapters and there's still another 10 or 11 to go.
Stop the Somaliland MOU - Until now Ethiopia hasn't retracted the MoU with Somaliland.
Maintaining peace & working on reconciliation - over 10 different on-going clan wars.
1P1V - The bills for the sham election just went through the parliament 2 weeks ago. 17 months to get Voter registration, political parties, Hold Local elections, Hold state elections and federal elections. A mission impossible if you ask me without a 2 year extension.

He is our leader in terms of stateship and we must stand behind him and hope he does his job leading us out this quagmire, however his term so far has further fractured the somali people and state
