Somalis are spread out but they have centers of concentration. I think it follows an ethnic pattern if anything

Only 64k of out of 164.00 American Somalis live in Minnesota , Maine is only 10 000 similar to California Somalis so the rest of the 90 000 live scattered in other states and cities in America.

They migrate to where-ever they can make a living and which allows them to connect with family. The story is not much more deeper than that.

The earliest Somali immigration to America was in New York as economic migrants. The community was substantial.
