Brothers, we Somalis are officially the most retarded group in the diaspora. Literally most Somali men I know are married to Ajnabi and most Somali women are on the same boat.

Our excuse is "muh halal to marry any race, don't be racist". Nacasyahaw, cousin marriage is halal too, that doesn't mean you should do it, it just means Allah (swt) won't send you to hell for doing it.

The reason I've begun to be against it, is it pretty quickly leads to our community vanishing and dying out. In 50 years, there won't be Somalis if we continue this rate.

Alhamdulilah, i'm strictly talking about the pious people who married. Zaani trash should be shot on sight.

Somalis are the Go-To source for female Muslim marriages. All foreigners want to score a Somali woman.

If you pull up a video of religious lecture in UK specially, 90% of the female audience are Somali women drooling over the lecturer. They have the highest rate of mosque attendance. I am sympathetic to their plight because Somali men have plenty to choose from.

As long as they marry according to Islam and do not dishonor themselves and their families, and also do not display an inferiority complex by assailing Somali ethnicity just because they married outside, their marriage is legit and nobody should care.

B- Somali mother equals unrecognized member of the Somali ethnicity, can hang out and be part of society without official recognition
C- Full acceptance to half-breeds if they speak fluent Somali and grow up in Somalia.

It’s not a good thing. It’s mostly Somalis in the uk who are scattered around, they don’t have a strongholds neighbourhoods like Somalis in America and Canada do. I live mostly around madows, polish and Asians.

I think marry who you like do long as it’s halal.

tbh I think the reason some well to do, pious Somalis marry out is because of lack of access to equally yolked Somalis. There is a gender imbalance within the higher tier Somalis with more girls doing well than boys. There’s being scattered across different countries/cities/towns - so limited access to meet up.
And no culture of arranged/introduced marriages that doesn’t centre qabyaalad but centres the couples actual personality/comparability.

it’s not enough to just say ‘marrying ajinabi is bad’ when the underlying issues are never adressed.
