Anyone can create a fake account with fake followers on Twitter. Many prominent Twitter accounts were exposed with fake bot followers in the past. An Arab could very well be behind the account, but highly unlikely. I also suspect a Somali troll could be behind the account. In the past, many Somali trolls have gone viral posting extremely derogatory and racist content about black people. These accounts were exposed pretending to be Arab and Indian.

I've seen Somali nationalist trolls and their maps, and they'd rather leap off a cliff than make that post that lumps horn Africa in with the rest of Africa, thus there's a 0% chance that guy is Somali. You would have had a better chance if the chart did not depict horn Africa as a savage in shackles.

I know your Langaab Ajnabi but try to play your cosplaying better next time.

Read through some of these threads to get an idea of how wide spread it is. It is not always obvious bot accounts. Some of them have hundreds of thousands of followers and a photo as the display.

They target all communities.

Don't trust anonymous accounts and focus on what the message and goal is behind what they are pushing.

I warn Somalis to be extremely cautious when sharing and collecting information online. There is a rising tide of disinformation online. I did some digging and went through the account of the self-proclaimed Iraqi. The supposed Iraqi replied to a racist comment from a Somali troll. I went through all the replies and it's mostly from Somali trolls masquerading as Arabs.

All their accounts were created very recently and follow each other. One account who constantly makes fun of Somalis is actually followed by the supposed Iraqi Arab. It appears the account is from Somaliland or Puntland and harbours extreme clan animosity due to the Civil War. To make themselves look legitimate, these trolls will write in Arabic and make fun of Somalis and other people of African origin to conceal their real identity.

Most of these accounts, masquerading as Arabs, occasionally indulge in topics Somali trolls and Incels normally converse about online. What kind of Arab indulges in topics such as Somaliland, the Land of Punt, race? Somali trolls and Incels are always cosplaying as different ethnic groups and causing havoc online. One account masquerading as an Arab was exposed as a Somali a few months ago after one of his racist tweets went viral. He deleted his account.
